No shocking result in a game when third ranked Ostersund (18-7) defeated at home 11th ranked Sodertalje (8-17) 89-81 on Wednesday. Ostersund shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Mehryn Kraker (183-1994, college: Green Bay) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Elsa Paulsson-Glantz (185-1995, college: Southeastern) who added 26 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Paulsson-Glantz is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was center Edessa Noyan (186-2004) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Chanelle Molina (175-1998, college: WSU) scored 18 points and 6 assists. Four Sodertalje players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Ostersund maintains third position with 18-7 record having three points less than leader Lulea Basket. Sodertalje lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Ostersund will meet league's leader Lulea Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sodertalje will play against IK Eos (#9) and hope to secure a win.
