Regular Season Round 25: Ferrol - Zaragoza 74-49

Bottom-ranked Ferrol managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Wednesday night. This time newly promoted Ferrol outleveled sixth-ranked Zaragoza 74-49. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 25-point difference proves that Ferrol was well-prepared to that game. They also forced 24 Zaragoza turnovers. American power forward Taylor Koenen (188-1998, college: UNC, agency: LBM Management) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Her fellow American import center Jenna Allen (190-1997, college: Michigan St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ferrol players scored in double figures. Zaragoza's coach Carlos Cantero gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ferrol (6-17) moved-up to fifteenth place. Ferrol are looking forward to face league's second-placed Valencia at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
