Very expected game when 12th ranked Korihait (7-22) lost to eighth ranked Kataja (13-16) in Uusikaupunki 63-79 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Kataja. Korihait managed to win second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (198-1991, college: Temple) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. International point guard Jamar Wilson (185-1984, college: Albany, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 17 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Kataja players scored in double figures. American swingman Jalen Jackson (198-1994, college: UALR) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks and Bosnian point guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-1988) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Korihait in the defeat. Kataja moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nokia. Loser Korihait stay at the bottom position with 22 games lost. Kataja will meet at home Lahti (#9) in the next round. Korihait will play against Kobrat in Lapua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
