We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked Bisons (9-20) won against 10th ranked Kobrat (11-18) in Loimaa 97-85 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 56-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bisons forced 19 Kobrat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for guard Zach Copeland (193-1997, college: Illinois St.) who led the winners and scored 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Forward Zach Thomas (203-1996, college: Bucknell) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Forward Andre Wesson (198-1997, college: Ohio St.) came up with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Stokley Chaffee (204-1996, college: Tennessee St.) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Kobrat in the defeat. Five Bisons and four Kobrat players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Bisons maintains eleventh place with 9-20 record. Loser Kobrat keeps the tenth position with 18 games lost. Bisons will meet higher ranked Nokia (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kobrat will play against Korihait and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
