Second Stage Round 1: Zadar - Zabok 91-76

The most shocking disappointment of round 1 was a defeat of Zabok. They were defeated by Zadar 91-76 on Friday night. Zadar looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. International guard Dominik Mavra (195-1994) stepped up and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international forward Dario Dreznjak (204-1998) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). At the losing side power forward Lovro Buljevic (211-1998, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Veljko Budimir (198-1985) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Zabok players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zabok will play next round against strong Cedevita Jr. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Zadar will try to continue on its current victory against Cibona in Zagreb.
