Regular Season Round 26: Sindri - Hrunamenn 85-83

Sixth-ranked Hrunamenn (10-15) made lots of trouble for third ranked Sindri (17-9) on Friday. Sindri managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 22-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Sindri dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Hrunamenn's 32. The best player for the winners was Irish power forward Jordan Blount (203-1997, college: UIC, agency: One Motive Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 24 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Detrek Browning (183, college: FMU, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Sindri players scored in double figures. American forward Kent Hanson (198-1997, college: Carleton) produced 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Clayton Ladine (188, college: Rocky Mountain) added 27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals respectively for the guests. Sindri have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-9 record having seven points less than leader Haukar. Hrunamenn at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Selfoss. Sindri are looking forward to face Skallagrimur (#6) in Borganes in the next round. Hrunamenn will play at home against Hamar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
