Regular Season Round 22: Mollet - Zentro Basket 80-83

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Zentro Basket (7-14) edged on the road higher ranked Mollet (11-11) 83-80 on Saturday. Senegalese center Pape Bocar Sall (211-2001) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Belgian center Vincent Gielen (208-2000) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by Dominican guard Yeikson Montero (196-1996, college: EMU) did not help to save the game for Mollet. Point guard Carles Marzo (190-1992) added 10 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Zentro Basket moved-up to twelfth place in Silver. Mollet at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Zentro Basket will meet at home Villarrobledo (#14) in the next round. Mollet will play against Gran Canaria 2 (#13) in Las Palmas and hope to secure a win.
