Regular Season Round 28: Lucenec - Iskra Svit 98-99

The most exciting game of round 28 in the Nike SBL took place in Lucenec. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of much higher ranked Lucenec (17-11) to seventh ranked Iskra Svit (10-18) 99-98 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lucenec. 24 personal fouls committed by Lucenec helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian point guard Sasa Avramovic (193-1993, agency: BeoBasket) fired 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian forward Nedim Mustafica (199-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Desure Buie (179-1997, college: Hofstra) produced 25 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Taylor Johns (201-1994, college: UC Riverside, agency: Slash Sports) added 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Five Iskra Svit and four Lucenec players scored in double figures. Iskra Svit have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Lucenec at the other side keeps the second position with 11 games lost. They share it with Komarno.
