Regular Season Round 29: E.Netanya - M.Ashdod 89-88

Twelfth-ranked M.Ashdod (7-18) was very close to win a game against eighth ranked E.Netanya (13-13). E.Netanya managed to secure only one-point victory 89-88. However their fans expected much easier game. M.Ashdod was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) stepped up and scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and naturalized Canadian guard Ethan Butler (198-2002) chipped in 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (196-1993, college: Barry, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized French point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (181-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Four M.Ashdod players scored in double figures. M.Ashdod's coach Offer Rahimi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. E.Netanya moved-up to seventh place. M.Ashdod at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. They share it with H.Izrael. E.Netanya will play against bottom-ranked M.Hod Hasharon (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. M.Ashdod will play against H.Afula and hopes to get back on the winning track.
