Cantabria dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Ponferrada's 20. They outrebounded Ponferrada 37-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Equatorial Guinean forward Walter Cabral (200-1995) notched 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Alejandro Marin (193-1988) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Cantabria players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Adam Fravert (203, college: UW-Oshkosh, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Ponferrada.
