Regular Season Round 23: ASVEL - Fos-Provence 101-75

ProA U21 top team - ASVEL (20-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Fos-Provence (10-11) in Villeurbanne 101-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fos-Provence. ASVEL shot 64.4 percent from the field. They outrebounded Fos-Provence 34-11 including a 23-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. ASVEL shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Romain Parmentelot (190-2004) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Kenny Kasiama (206-2003) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five ASVEL players scored in double figures. Guard Austin Rasolonjatovo (186-2001) answered with 17 points and naturalized Guinean forward Ousmane Kaba (195-2002) added 6 points and 9 assists in the effort for Fos-Provence. Fos-Provence's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. ASVEL have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-0 record. Fos-Provence at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. ASVEL are looking forward to face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Fos-Provence will play against Levallois (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
