Regular Season Round 25: Granada - Oviedo 96-68
Date: March 19, 2022
Leader Granada delivered the twentieth victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Oviedo (13-11) 96-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oviedo. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Liberian guard Thomas Bropleh (196-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. The former international forward Pere Tomas (202-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Granada players scored in double figures. Center Oliver Arteaga (208-1983) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Colombian point guard Hansel Atencia (178-1997, college: Master's) added 15 points in the effort for Oviedo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Granada (20-4) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place. Oviedo at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Girona. Granada will play against Lleida (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Oviedo will play against Prat and hopes to get back on the winning track.
