No shocking result in a game when second ranked Cremona (20-3) beat at home 7th ranked Desio (11-11) 83-66 on Saturday. Cremona looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Desio's players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Ferdinando Nasello (195-1995, agency: SLN) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Marco Bona (189-1989) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Cremona players scored in double figures. Andrea Mazzoleni (197-1998) came up with 12 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Mattia Molteni (191-1996) added 12 points respectively for Desio in the defeat. Desio's coach Gabriele Ghirelli rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Cremona have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 20-3 record having just one point less than leader Cividale. Newly promoted Desio dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Cremona will meet Bernareggio (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Desio will play against Jesolo (#15) and hope to secure a win.
