There was no surprise when 14th ranked Giulianova (3-20) was outleveled on the road by ninth ranked Cesena (11-12) 87-67 on Sunday. Cesena outrebounded Giulianova 58-26 including a 19-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Fabio Bugatti (198-1998, agency: SLN) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. San Marino swingman Gioele Moretti (190-1993) accounted for 31 points for the winning side. Four Cesena players scored in double figures. Cesena's coach Davide Tassinari used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Gianluca Pierucci (-2000) came up with 17 points and 4 steals and Tommaso Milani (190-1988, agency: SLN) added 17 points respectively for Giulianova in the defeat.
