There was no surprise when 8th ranked La Rochelle (4-8) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked STB Le Havre (6-6) 80-68 on Tuesday. STB Le Havre made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game, while La Rochelle only scored five points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Paul Carter (203-1987, college: UIC) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Oumarou Sylla (185-1992) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Thibaut Lonzieme (193-1989) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Keith Wright (203-1989, college: Harvard) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. STB Le Havre moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams.
