Regular Season Round 24: Segle XXI - Almeda 62-49

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Barcelona: Segle XXI (#1) and Almeda (#7). Segle XXI (20-4) won against visiting Almeda (11-12) 62-49. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ines Noguero (180-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Elena Buenavida (174-2004) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Cristina Pujol (178-1995) with 10 points and 5 rebounds and Mar Pacheco (-2002) scored 3 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Segle XXI have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-4 record. Almeda at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Segle XXI are looking forward to face Casablanca (#5) in Zaragoza in the next round. Almeda will play at home against Girona and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
