The game in Helsinki supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Honka (12-5) played at the court of 8th ranked HNMKY (4-12). Honka smashed HNMKY 118-79 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Honka. HNMKY managed to win fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to HNMKY's 40 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded HNMKY 72-31 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Honka looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Saku Korhonen (199-2002) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners and guard Riku Korhonen (192-2004) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Honka players scored in double figures. Honka's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Lenni Hervola (179-2003) with 25 points and 6 assists and forward Leo Makipaa (190-2004) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Honka have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Raiders. Loser HNMKY keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost.
