We should mention about the upset which took place in Cholet, where higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (13-11) was outleveled in a road game by twelfth ranked Cholet Basket (11-13) 78-54. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Limoges CSP Elite. Cholet Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Limoges CSP Elite's 24. Cholet Basket forced 19 Limoges CSP Elite turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Dominic Artis (192-1993, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized Mali power forward Nianta Diarra (201-1993) contributed with 6 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Nicolas Lang (198-1990, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American center Horace Spencer (206-1997, college: Auburn, agency: Verus Management) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cholet Basket moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gravelines and Bourg. Limoges CSP Elite at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Nanterre. Cholet Basket will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque (#10) on the road in the next round. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Entente Orleans 45 and hopes to get back on the winning track.
