Regular Season Round 27: Czarni - Legia 96-90

EBL top team - Czarni (21-6) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Legia (15-12) in Slupsk 96-90. Czarni looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by Legia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American Beau Beech (203-1994, college: UNF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international power forward Mikolaj Witlinski (207-1995) helped adding 16 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Robert Johnson (192-1995, college: Indiana) with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-1984) scored 17 points and 8 assists. Five Czarni and four Legia players scored in double figures. Czarni maintains first place with 21-6 record. Legia at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Czarni are looking forward to face Twarde Pierniki (#6) in Torun in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Legia will play at home against Wilki Morskie and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
