Regular Season Round 31: Lublin 2 - Krosno 72-110

An interesting game took place in Lublin, where higher ranked Lublin 2 (15-14) was outleveled at home by twelfth ranked Krosno (12-17) 110-72 on Saturday. Krosno shot 64.1 percent from the field. Krosno outrebounded Lublin 2 42-24 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Krosno looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Lublin 2's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Krosno made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Roman Janik (184-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Naturalized German forward Julian Jasinski (201-1996) helped adding 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Janik is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Krosno players scored in double figures. At the losing side Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-1994) responded with 19 points and Adam Mysliwiec (200-1990) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Krosno maintains twelfth place with 12-17 record. Newly promoted Lublin 2 keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Starogard Gd.. Krosno will meet at home higher ranked AZS PO (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lublin 2 will play against WKK Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
