Regular Season Round 24: Desio - Jesolo 63-58

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Desio (12-11) won against at home 15th ranked Jesolo (5-17) 63-58 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian center Nikolay Vangelov (212-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Andrea Mazzoleni (197-1998) chipped in 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tommaso Rossi (198-1999) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and naturalized Croatian Djordje Malbasa (195-1995, agency: SLN) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Desio moved-up to seventh place in B. Jesolo lost eighth consecutive game. Jesolo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Desio will meet Bologna Basket (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jesolo will play against Mestre and hope to secure a win.
