Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tirana: Tirana (#3) and Tirana B (#6). Tirana (10-4) smashed visiting Tirana B (6-9) by 47 points 94-47. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tirana B. They held Tirana B to an opponent 24.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Tirana forced 21 Tirana B turnovers and outrebounded them 52-29 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tirana B's players. The former international Mirela Lugaj (170-2001) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international Klea Verri (169-2001) supported her with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Even 11 points by Serbian Ana-Marija Stojicic (179-1999) did not help to save the game for Tirana B. Forward Fiona Oruci (176-2000) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Tirana moved-up to second place, which they share with Partizani. Newly promoted Tirana B keeps the sixth position with nine games lost.
