Another interesting game for Venezia (11-12) which hosted higher ranked Tortona (12-11). Eighth ranked Venezia won 69-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tortona. Worth to mention a great performance of American-North Macedonian point guard Jordan Theodore (182-1989, college: Seton Hall) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and the former international Jeffrey Brooks (203-1989, college: Penn St.) who added 16 points during the contest. Venezia's coach Walter De Raffaele allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman JP Macura (196-1995, college: Xavier) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Tyler Cain (204-1988, college: S.Dakota) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Venezia moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Brindisi. Newly promoted Tortona keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Reggio Emilia. Venezia will play against higher ranked Reggio Emilia (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tortona will play against Pesaro and hopes to get back on the winning track.
