There was an upset when higher ranked Ragusa (14-9) was edged at home by thirteenth ranked Pozzuoli (9-15) 75-74 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Senegalese center Iba Koite Thiam (205-1998, agency: Players Group) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Antonio Gallo (182-2000, agency: Players Group) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Four Pozzuoli players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Paolo Rotondo (204-1989, agency: Players Group) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Andrea Picarelli (196-1996, agency: SLN) added 14 points respectively.
