Regular Season Round 24: Cremona - Treviso 74-67
Date: March 27, 2022
Bottom-ranked Cremona managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Treviso 74-67. The winners were led by international guard Matteo Spagnolo (193-2003) who scored that evening 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and American center Jamuni McNeace (208-1996, college: Oklahoma) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Cremona's coach Paolo Galbiati used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by international point guard Giordano Bortolani (193-2000) did not help to save the game for Treviso. American power forward Aaron Jones (206-1993, college: Ole Miss) added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five Cremona and four Treviso players scored in double figures. Cremona maintains sixteenth position with 6-16 record. Loser Treviso dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Napoli. Cremona will meet higher ranked Fortitudo BO (#15) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Treviso will play against Napoli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
