Regular Season Round 22: Savona - San Salvatore 78-63

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Savona (9-10) beat at home 8th ranked San Salvatore (9-10) 78-63 on Sunday. Guard Lucrezia Zanetti (178-1997, agency: Interperformances) notched 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Bulgarian center Hristina Tyutyundzhieva (190-1993) supported her with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Savona players scored in double figures. Savona's coach Roberto Dagliano used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!) by Bulgarian point guard Karina Konstantinova (173-1999) did not help to save the game for San Salvatore. Guard Silvia Ceccarelli (182-1996) added 15 points for lost side. Newly promoted Savona maintains tenth position in A2 with 9-10 record. Savona will meet higher ranked Vigarano (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. San Salvatore will play against Civitanova and hope to secure a win.
