No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Molfetta (9-14) won against at home 14th ranked Cassino (8-16) 74-59 on Sunday. Strangely Cassino outrebounded Molfetta 50-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Francesco Villa (181-1997, agency: SLN) who scored 22 points and 8 assists. Power forward Matteo Bini (201-1994) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Stefano Borsato (193-1986) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Federico Lestini (203-1983) added 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Cassino's coach Luca Vettese tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Molfetta maintains tenth position in B with 9-14 record. Loser Cassino dropped to the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Olginate. Molfetta will meet at home Monopoli AN (#12) in the next round. Cassino will play against R.Calabria and hope to secure a win.
