Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Stjarnan (13-9) outplayed at home 11th ranked Vestri (4-18) 99-66 on Monday. The game without a history. Stjarnan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Stjarnan outrebounded Vestri 52-35 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Vestri's players. The former international guard Hilmar Henningsson (196-2000, agency: Duran International) notched 16 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Robert Turner III (193-1993, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 13 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (205-1987) did not help to save the game for Vestri. Spanish guard Alejandro Rubiera (190-1998) added 16 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stjarnan maintains sixth position with 13-9 record. Vestri lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost.
