Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Skrljevo (12-13) and Alkar (8-17), which took place in Sinj. Skrljevo was outleveled in a road game by Alkar 88-65 on Wednesday. Alkar dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Skrljevo's 34. Alkar forced 22 Skrljevo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Hrvoje Vucic (210-1991, college: Walsh) who led the winners and scored 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). French forward Romain Louiserre (201-1994, college: Missouri S&T) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Four Alkar players scored in double figures. Alkar's coach Vladimir Krstic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Toni Jelenkovic (180-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and center Danijel Zovko (203-1994) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Skrljevo in the defeat. Alkar will meet Dubrava (#8) in the next round. Skrljevo will play against Sibenka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
