Very expected game when 12th ranked Thor AK (1-21) was smashed by fifth ranked Tindastoll (14-8) in Sauoarkrokur 99-69 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Tindastoll. Thor AK managed to win third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Tindastoll forced 23 Thor AK turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Irish-British forward Taiwo Badmus (201-1993, college: UVA Wise) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Javon Bess (198-1996, college: St.Louis) supported him with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by Baldur Johannesson (195-2001) did not help to save the game for Thor AK. Point guard Dui Jonsson (178-2001) added 14 points and 10 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tindastoll have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Keflavik and Valur. Thor AK lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games.
