Regular Season Round 23: Treviso - Carugate 77-59

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Treviso (4-17) won against at home higher ranked Carugate (8-15) 77-59 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Treviso especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian Klaudia Perisa (180-1996) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Viola Diodati (170-1991, agency: SLN) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Finnish center Helmi Tulonen (191-1998, college: Duquesne, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and guard Francesca Diotti (175-1997) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for Carugate in the defeat. Carugate's coach Luigi Cesari rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Treviso maintains thirteenth place in A2 with 4-17 record. Loser Carugate keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost. Treviso will meet league's leader Crema on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Carugate will play against Vicenza (#12) and hope to secure a win.
