Regular Season Round 19: BLMA - Hainaut 70-67

Everything could happen in Montpellier at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Gazelles and 8th ranked Hainaut had identical 7-11 record. This time Gazelles used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Saint-Amand 70-67 on Saturday night. It was a great evening for international point guard Olivia Epoupa (165-1994) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Montenegrin-Serbian Ana Dabovic (183-1989) helped adding 16 points. Four Gazelles players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Peyton Williams (193-1998, college: Kansas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo (188-1996, college: TCU) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Gazelles (8-11) moved-up to eighth place. Loser Hainaut dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Gazelles will meet league's second-placed Lyon on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hainaut will play against Tarbes (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
