Regular Season Round 27: Leganes - IDK Eustotren 66-65

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Leganes (9-18) edged at home higher ranked IDK Eustotren (15-12) 66-65 on Sunday. Leganes forced 20 IDK Eustotren turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Vionise Pierre-Louis (193-1995, college: Oklahoma) who scored 31 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Marta Hermida (180-1997, college: Boise St.) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Leganes' coach Quentin Hillsman allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (192-1997) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Yurena Diaz (178-1993) added 14 points respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Leganes. Newly promoted Leganes maintains thirteenth place with 9-18 record. IDK Eustotren lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Leganes will meet league's leader Avenida in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IDK Eustotren will play against Cadi La Seu (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
