Regular Season Round 25: Torrenova - Ragusa 80-81

There was a small surprise in Torrenovese where seventh ranked Ragusa (15-9) edged 5th ranked Torrenova (15-10) 81-80 on Sunday. Power forward Paolo Rotondo (204-1989, agency: Players Group) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Mattia Da Campo (198-1997, college: Seattle) chipped in 20 points. Five Ragusa players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Dario Zucca (203-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Sebastiano Perin (187-1996) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Torrenova's coach Maurizio Bartocci rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ragusa moved-up to fifth place in B which they share with defeated Torrenova. Loser Torrenova keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Bergamo. Ragusa will meet at home Formia (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Torrenova will play against Salerno (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
