Regular Season Round 25: Peja - Trepca 79-71

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Trepca (17-8) on the court of fourth ranked Peja on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Peja 79-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Trepca. Peja made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Trepca turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Dardan Berisha (190-1988) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 assists. American swingman Courtney Fells (199-1986, college: NC State) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American power forward Andrew Gordon (208-1997, college: Louisiana Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Amin Hot (195-1992) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Trepca. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Peja maintains fourth place with 13-7 record. Trepca at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Peja are looking forward to face league's second-placed Prizreni-16 on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trepca will play against Bashkimi and is hoping to win this game.
