There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Monfalcone (11-14) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Lumezzane V. (9-15) 68-62 on Sunday. Lumezzane V. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Guard Andrea Scanzi (190-1988) stepped up and scored 31 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners and Daniele Ciaramella (188-1998) chipped in 6 points and 7 rebounds. Monfalcone's coach Matteo Pratico rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Lumezzane V. maintains eleventh place in B with 9-15 record. Loser Monfalcone keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Lumezzane V. will meet higher ranked Fiorenzuola (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
