There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Imola (15-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Faenza (12-13) 67-60 on Sunday. Faenza outrebounded Imola 61-36 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Giovanni Poggi (201-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Simone Aromando (200-1997, agency: SLN) chipped in 8 points and 23 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Emanuele Trapani (182-1999) responded with 5 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and swingman Nunzio Corcelli (188-1991) scored 17 points. Faenza maintains ninth place in B with 12-13 record. Loser Imola dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Bergamo. Faenza will meet Giulianova (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Imola will play against Civitanova (#15) and hope to secure a win.
