There was a minor upset in Athens where 6th ranked Peristeri (8-10) was defeated by eighth ranked Larissa BC (8-9) 77-71 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. The best player for the winners was American-Gambian Ousman Krubally (201-1988, college: Georgia St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Jalen Hudson (198-1996, college: Florida) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Larissa BC players scored in double figures. International point guard Dimitris Moraitis (194-1999) produced 18 points and 5 assists and American Steven Gray (196-1989, college: Gonzaga) added 20 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Larissa BC have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Peristeri dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Larissa BC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
