Regular Season Round 27: Ensino - Ferrol 72-63

There was no surprise in Lugo where 15th ranked Ferrol (6-21) was defeated by twelfth ranked Ensino (11-16) 72-63 on Sunday. Ensino forced 23 Ferrol turnovers. The best player for the winners was power forward Laura Aliaga (182-1994) who scored 13 points. Portuguese Sofia Gomes (188-1990, college: Tallahassee) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ensino players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Taylor Koenen (188-1998, college: UNC, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Carmen Grande (173-1997, college: Ohio St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Ensino moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gran Canaria. Newly promoted Ferrol dropped to the bottom position with 21 games lost. Ensino will meet at home league's second-placed Valencia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ferrol will play against Araski (#12) and hope to secure a win.
