The game in Kfar Blum supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (11-11) played at the court of seventh ranked Galil Elion (11-11). Galil Elion smashed Hapoel Tel-Aviv 96-73 on Sunday. They outrebounded Hapoel Tel-Aviv 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Galil Elion looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward DJ Kennedy (198-1989, college: St.John's) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-1993, college: Marist, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Five Galil Elion players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international power forward Idan Zalmanson (206-1995, agency: Avi Zilberman) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Bar Timor (190-1992, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Galil Elion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with H.Tel-Aviv.
