Regular Season Round 27: Fos-Provence - Nanterre 71-73

There was a minor upset in Fos-sur-Mer where 9th ranked Fos-Provence (12-13) was edged by twelfth ranked Nanterre (10-15) 73-71 on Friday. Nanterre looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward William Gneze (200-2001) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Samuel Eyango-Dingo (206-2001) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Nanterre's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Austin Rasolonjatovo (186-2001) who recorded 14 points and 8 assists and naturalized Guinean forward Ousmane Kaba (195-2002) added 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Nanterre. They moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Fos-Provence keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Nanterre will meet higher ranked Chalons-Reims (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fos-Provence will play against Paris BA and hope to secure a win.
