No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vigarano (14-10) won against at home 13th ranked Nico Basket (5-18) 72-66 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vigarano made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Lucrezia Coser (177-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Giulia Sorrentino (175-1998) chipped in 23 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Caterina Mattera (185-2001) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian Marina Dzinic (190-1992) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Nico Basket's coach Francesco Nieddu let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vigarano maintains fifth position in A2 with 14-10 record. Loser Nico Basket keeps the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Vigarano will meet Patti (#9) on the road in the next round. Nico Basket will play against San Salvatore (#10) and hope to secure a win.
