Regular Season Round 28: Rivas - Real Madrid 2 76-69

There was a minor upset when much higher ranked Real Madrid 2 (20-7) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Rivas (16-11) 76-69 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Alvaro Frutos (188-1987) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and power forward Angel Gomez (197-1987) who added 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Nikolas Cebrian (183-2004) responded with 13 points and Slovenian swingman Jan Vide (195-2005) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rivas moved-up to fourth place in Group B. Loser Real Madrid 2 keeps the second position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
