The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Segle XXI (21-5) in Barcelona on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Picken Claret (14-10) 60-52. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Segle XXI. Picken Claret made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Argentinian power forward Celia Fiorotto (186-1992) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Maria Gonzalez (175-1998) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Picken Claret players scored in double figures. Point guard Elena Buenavida (174-2004) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Ines Noguero (180-2004) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Picken Claret maintains sixth position in Group B with 14-10 record. Segle XXI at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost.
