Eleventh-ranked Napoli (10-15) made lots of trouble for third ranked Brescia (18-7) on Saturday. The visitors from Brescia managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected much easier game. American forward Kenny Gabriel (205-1989, college: Auburn) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Greek-Canadian guard Nazareth Mitrou-Long (193-1993, college: Iowa St., agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 11 points during the contest. American forward Jordan Parks (201-1994, college: NCCU, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Andrea Zerini (205-1988, agency: BIG) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Brescia have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-7 record having just two points less than leader Virtus BO. Newly promoted Napoli dropped to the fourteenth place with 15 games lost. Brescia will meet at home Reggio Emilia (#7) in the next round. Napoli will play against the league's second-placed Milano (#2) and hope to secure a win.
