Vagos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to CAB Madeira's 30. They outrebounded CAB Madeira 40-25 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vagos looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Devon Brookshire (190-1994, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: DC Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. The other American import guard Martha Burse (168-1996, college: Indianapolis) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Point guard Carolina Bernardeco (168-1997, college: ODU) replied with 11 points and 4 assists and guard Laura Silva (158-2004) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CAB Madeira. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
