Leader Zadar delivered the twenty second victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Gorica (14-13) 81-69 in Velika Gorica. Zadar players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American swingman Justin Carter (193-1987, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Martin Junakovic (188-1994, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 10 points and 9 assists for the winners. Point guard Borna Kapusta (182-1996) answered with 23 points and 7 assists and the former international Mate Kalajzic (189-1998, agency: BeoBasket) added 12 points in the effort for Gorica. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zadar (22-5) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Gorica at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Zadar will play against Zabok (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gorica will play against the league's second-placed Cibona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
