The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Tabernes' (5-6) home loss to fourth ranked Carolinas (6-3) 50-62 on Sunday. Carolinas had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Nicolas Martinez (-2001) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Aldo Serneguet (193-1996) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Lucas Blasco (197-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Manuel Aroca (191-1991) scored 17 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Carolinas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group EDesc1. Loser Tabernes keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Alginet B. Carolinas will meet at home league's leader Archena in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tabernes will play against L'Alcora (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
