Very important is a road loss of third ranked Umbertide (15-8) against eleventh ranked Savona (10-12) on Sunday night. Visiting Umbertide was defeated by Savona in a tough game in Savona 55-60. Strangely Umbertide outrebounded Savona 51-35 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by guard Lucrezia Zanetti (178-1997, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Alice Dagliano supported her with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds by center Beatrice Baldi (185-2000) did not help to save the game for Umbertide. Point guard Alessia Cabrini (179-1996) added 11 points and 14 rebounds. Four Umbertide players scored in double figures. Savona moved-up to eighth place in A2. Umbertide at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Savona will play against league's second-placed La Spezia on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Umbertide will play against Battipaglia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
