Very expected game when Galil Elion was defeated on the road by Hapoel Jerusalem 94-78. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Hapoel Jerusalem outrebounded Galil Elion 38-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. Galil Elion was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Jalen Adams (191-1995, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Belgian-Nigerian guard Retin Obasohan (189-1993, college: Alabama) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Nigerian point guard Ike Iroegbu (188-1995, college: WSU) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized American forward Isaiah Eisendorf (198-1996, college: LeMoyne) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Galil Elion. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four Galil Elion players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Hapoel Haifa at home in the next round. Galil Elion will play against Hapoel Holon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
